December and Delinquent Toddlers

Ok ok so my kids aren't really "Delinquent" but sometimes I feel like they are! I have to keep reminding myself that, "They're just kids" and, "They can't understand some of the concepts yet" and, "If you yell it will just teach them to yell".

Being a mom is definitely not easy! Most of the time I feel like I'm running blind and don't have a clue what to do. I get advice all over the place but most of the time it just makes me feel like I'm failing. So I continue to try my hardest and follow my gut. Although sometimes all my gut wants is cake...hmmm...

So we have been having fun this December! We have been to a couple of Ward (meaning church, not "WARD" family) Christmas parties. The one at our Ward was "The Polar Express" theme. It was really cute. And we got to see Santa at my parent's party. A brother that I have known my whole life played Santa. He was sooo perfect. I loved seeing him as Santa. We didn't make Autumn sit with Santa. We knew she'd absolutely freak out. So we let her smile and wave at him from afar :)

Might I mention that his beard is totally real? LOVE IT!

She really was so excited to see Santa, she just isn't very good at smiling on command for pictures. :)

We really did have a lot of fun!

I love seeing the snow this year! I felt like last year we didn't have any!

Petting Zoo, Ponies, and Playgrounds Oh My! (Pic overload!)

A few weeks ago we went over to Eric's and got to ride a horse! The horse's name was Rex. He is a total sweetie! So gentle and nice! Afton is a total natural on the horse!

This is my favorite picture from the day!

On Tuesday we all (My mom, mother in law, the girls, Carrie and Liam) headed off to the mall! We had so much fun! The kids rode the carousel and the train. They played on the little car "rides" and spent quite a while playing in the little play land they have there!

The kids really love being together!


On Friday the girls and I went to the petting zoo at Gardner Village with my mother in law. It was so much fun! Afton's favorite (and mine) were the bunnies!

Autumn wasn't sure she liked the bunnies at first!

But Afton had no fear and wanted to hold every single bunny! She was so gentle and sweet with them.

This little guy was the sweetest of them all. I love his markings! I wanted to take him home!!! He kept licking my hand and nuzzling and he let Afton carry him everywhere!

Autumn finally decided that those bunnies were pretty cute and she liked them too!

These were seriously the most tolerant Bunnies ever!

Next we saw the chickens

Autumn was fascinated by the honking ducks and geese. Afton loved the baby llama. That llama's wool was SOOOO soft! Autumn has her own "Lamby" that she sleeps with. So I thought it was neat for her to see a real lamb! :)

After that we headed over to the West Jordan Park near the new library. This is seriously the "Playground of all Playgrounds!"

We didn't get a lot of pictures taken there because we were all too busy playing!

After that we all tried to relax a bit!

Needless to say, we were all pretty tuckered out after all of our adventures!
